INTERIOR

The cabin area of the SB-8 is of similar size to a light twin engined commuter aircraft being 3.8 metres long – 1.6 metres wide – 1.4 metres high and will be fully air-conditioned. There is a baggage compartment located in the upper fuselage to the rear of the cabin. Market research has demonstrated the need for various seating and cargo arrangements from VIP configuration to high density short sector travel depending on the product carried and the cargo layout will also vary from a watertight cargo area with drainage for the carriage of marine product to a straight cargo floor for island supply of perishables and machinery parts. The company have decided to build into the SB-8 the capacity to alter the cabin layout to suit the customers’ requirements and these will be: -

  • VIP/Luxury 4-6 seats
  • Standard 8 seats
  • High density layout with 12 seats capacity Cargo
  • Or a mix of any of the above

VIP Configuration

The VIP configuration of 4 large reclining seats in the cabin with workstations and communications as required.

Standard Configuration

The Standard configuration will provide for 7 standard airline style seats.

High Density Configuration

The High Density configuration will be military style fold down seats that will lock into the floor Douglas rail, they are light weight canvas cover seats suitable for short range operations.

Cargo Configuration

The marine produce cargo layout will be a fully composite sealed compartment with side tie down points and two drainage points at the rear of the compartment, there will be provision for 1 person in the cabin area to maintain load security a custom heavy duty floor can be provided on request.

For all other cargo supply the craft will have a standard passenger floor with a light plywood cover and utilise the seating Douglas rails for securing the load.
